If you have JAVA based software already in use it may have already used the CLASSPATH environment variable which will stop iEXL and other JAVA based products running.

Use the WRKENVVAR command to view your current settings. If the CLASSPATH already exists you will need to have that include the iEXL CLASSPATH entries.

Solution: Create a temp user profile that starts QCMD and no initial program. Run iEXL and look at the CLASSPATH settings using WRKENVVAR. The CLASSPATH settings for iEXL need to be added to the CLASSPATH of the software you are already running.
